Goodbye Australia..... for now anyway

I am off on a trip to Thailand and Singapore on Monday!! I am very excited to spend the next 2 weeks lying on the beach (trying) to get a tan and hopefully I will get to try some authentic Thai and Singaporean cuisine! I look forward to sharing my adventures with you!

Well I am sitting at my desk on this Friday afternoon doing something I never thought I would do... attempting to write my very first blog entry. Yes I know it is another blog, but I couldn’t help myself. I am not an expert on cooking or food by any stretch of the imagination, but I love to eat and cook. I adore people like Nigella Lawson, Bill Granger and the man who through his books taught me most of what I know, Jamie Oliver.


I have been reading food blogs for a couple of years, they were my salvation during the wee hours of the morning while I was completing the assignment that I had left to the very last minute. My real inspiration for Miss Silver Spoon came from the amazing and talented Not Quite Nigella, I am totally addicted to her blog. She inspired me to get out there and try different restaurants, cook new and exciting things, and most importantly to give food blogging a go. Why not right? Its 2010, a new year and a new decade, the perfect time in my opinion for new beginnings and new adventures.
